Summary of Tasks:

...

  1. Have someone launch the crisis alert.

  2. The Building Manager needs to launch the roster event asap.

2a. Staff need to submit an answer for each student they care for, accounted for is the default “present” 2b. answer. If staff know a given student was in the bathroom, mark under “unaccounted for” check “Last seen” and type in bathroom or a recent known location to aide in the search.

2c. Marking a student Absent should only be done when the adult is 1000% sure the student(s) is not in the building that day. Absent does NOT mean the student is missing from your class.

2d. When a staff member is done “submitting attendance” they can select the “Mark as complete” option, so managers know who is done taking attendance. Checking this option is only for staff reporting purposes and does not update student data in any way. (Also it does not impede anyone from making changes as you find a new student etc.).

  1. After most attendance is complete send in a staff wellness check-in. (Are you safe?)

Best to not launch the staff wellness check-in quickly, as it will interrupt their screen for roster/attendance task.

  1. When ending the drill or nearly doing so, please complete the roster event and staff wellness check in.

  2. Release the drill.

Refresher Videos & Walkthroughs

Listed below are some walkthroughs with the CrisisGo team, highlighting key features that you will utilize in an emergency:

Sending an Alert: https://trainingcg.s3.amazonaws.com/Videos/Mobile+App/Manager_Send+Alert_Mobile.mp4

This is the big one. This is how you go about alerting everyone.

Getting Student Whereabouts: https://trainingcg.s3.amazonaws.com/Videos/Mobile+App/Manager_Roster+Event_Mobile.mp4

This is the function named “roster event” on your app. This is how you will be able to see which students are safe with a teacher & which ones are unaccounted for.

Staff Check-In: https://trainingcg.s3.amazonaws.com/Videos/Mobile+App/Manager_Check+In_Mobile.mp4

This is the best way to get information on who is safe & who is in need of immediate assistance. This does not take the place of a roster event, as it allows users to respond with a “yes” or “no”, along with a comment box, to see who emergency responders would have to prioritize & what is wrong.

Communicating With Others: https://trainingcg.s3.amazonaws.com/Videos/Mobile+App/Manager_Messaging_Mobile.mp4

In the event the worst comes to pass & a staff member is in a dire need of help, this messaging feature could be their lifeline to reach out & provide details of their situation. This would likely be used as a follow-up to check-ins or to update staff as an event progresses.
