Background
Callone (current telecom provider) is ending our TDM/PRI contract in November of 2020 and we need to go to SIP. This would reset our contract renewals to November, making it hard to really look at new VOIP solutions/providers since any big change over should be done in summer.
Current state
Migrated Jones, and Walnut Trails

Done by 7-24-2020
Update the Paper Insert for the Side Car
Links to the paper templates are below or in Google Drive → Shared Drives → Tech Team → Phone
https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/0B7t687KBts1VT2tmTDhDallQQlE
Update the Side Car Configuration
The side car is the box with all the speed dial buttons.
To update the configuration you will need the IP address of the phone can be found by going to the FreePBX https://phones.min201.org
At the top go to Reports → Asterisk Info then click Peers on the right and scroll down to the CHANSIP section. This will give you Extension and IP address
highlight the IP address and right-click go to xx.xx.xx.xx
This is only for the Linksys 962 some principals may have different manufacture and model this is the most common for secretaries.
On the phone homepage click on Admin Login then click on Advanced
Now click on the SPA932 tab in the menu bar this page should look like something below
Now we must update the entries to turn on BLF (Buddy Light Feature - changes the color of the button if the person is on the phone) and updating the server address. You will add a blf+ in front of the sd in each line
Before
fnc=sd;sub=7001@10.31.1.100;nme=Connie
After
fnc=blf+sd;sub=7001@phones.min201.org;nme=Connie
Add the blf+ to all internal extensions and change the server ip to phones.min201.org for all entries
Like below
Then Submit all changes to update the config.
