2d. When a staff member is done “submitting attendance” they can select the “Mark as complete” option, so managers know who is done taking attendance. Checking this option is only for staff reporting purposes and does not update student data in any way. (Also it does not impede anyone from making changes as you find a new student etc.).
2e. Fine Arts teachers will probably want to look for the “gen ed” teacher of the class that they’re currently with, it’ll probably be easier to find “Attendance” for Mrs. Smith than the laundry list that is Fine Arts teachers where the the sections just say “Music K MUS(A) x5”, “Music 1 MUS(A) x5”, etc.
Reasoning: Datasync pulls in the external expression of PS and since all the music classes are assigned to a the “MUS” bellperiod, that’s not on the bell schedule. Solution that might get us around this: We might be able to get the section # added into this laundry list of classes. How the campus gets around it: They’re on different periods, so they’re generally looking for say Smith’s P2-3 class and not specifically the “name” or “section” number.
After most attendance is complete send in a staff wellness check-in. (Are you safe?)
