Troubleshooting

If a computer won’t turn on/charge/how to do a hard reset.

Step 1.) Plug the Chromebook into a charger.

Step 2.) Hold down the refresh button, then while holding the refresh button press the power button.

Step 3.) It should turn on, if not please contact a tech for assistance.

If a Chromebook won’t connect to the wifi

Step 1.)Go to the bottom right of the chromebook, and left click on the time. When you do that it will bring up a tray to find various options, there you should see the wifi tab, please left click on the wifi tab.

Step 2.) After left clicking the wifi tab you will have options to choose from, please choose Min201-Guest.

Step 3.) Insert the password Learning201! once you add one of those passwords it will automatically connect to Min201.

Changing the default Microphone/Speaker on Chromebooks

Changing default microphone on a Chromebook:

Ensure the USB Microphone is plugged into the Chromebook and powered on.

1. Click on the clock in the bottom right hand corner of the screen

2. Click the arrow next to the speaker controls 

3. Click on the microphone you would like to use (Pick the USB-Mic)

4. Drag the slider to increase or decrease the volume of the Microphone. (If needed)
