❓ Problem Analysis

What is the problem?

Teachers are tied to the wall and the teacher desk is pinned against the wall in a certain spot. The teacher desk placement is not flexible to the changing classroom environment and teaching strategies.

What's the impact of this problem?

Teachers are forced to teach from the same corner of the room year after year.

  • Teachers in the back of the room talking to backs of students can be seen as less engaging

How do we judge success?

That teachers can put their desk wherever they want in the classroom and have a reliable and engaging teaching session.

 What are possible solutions?

Chromecast, EzCast, Screenbeam 960

✅ Validation

What do we already know?

  • Teachers want this problem solved, especially at the campus.

  • While letting students “cast” is a nice feature, it opens up so many potential problems and cost of casting solutions that the Ed Tech commmitee thought it wasn’t worth it.

  • The solution needs to have a way to prevent teachers to accidently casting to another room

What do we need to answer?

  • We need to find a reliable screen casting solution

  • Classroom telephone isn’t portable, so how big of a deal is that?

  • The best way for students to “cast” their screen when the teacher wants them to.

    • Google meet in class?

    • Share document like normal?

    • Goguardian Share teacher screen?

(thumbs up) Ready to make it
