3-8th: Incomplete (INC) As Final Grade

3-8th: Assigning an "INC" (Incomplete) to a student for a final grade

Before we begin, you’ll want to speak with your administration before assigning this final grade to a student.

  1. Switch to the class that student was in (or may still be in if the student hasn’t been dropped yet).  Then, navigate to the final grading area for your students by clicking on Grading → Traditional Grades

If the student has already been dropped from your class roster, then click on the gear > show dropped students.

  1. Click on the overall grade spot for the student’s cell under the ‘Q’ heading.

  2. On the score inspector, click on ‘codes’ to get the special codes menu.

  1. Click on “INC”.

  1. You’ll notice that the student’s cell is updated with the final letter grade of an ‘INC’ and a final grade of 0%.

  1. Optionally, you may want to add a comment to the parents if they question why the student has an incomplete.
